Butler Longhorn Museum

If you are in League City you have to check out the Butler Longhorn Museum. They hold the Guinness Book of World Records for the world's largest amount of Longhorn history collection. They have on display western art, music, Longhorn artifacts, and other Texas historical items.

Fireworks

Every Friday in June and July the Kemah Boardwalk puts on a firework show. There are boat cruises that will take you on Galveston Bay to get the best view like Boardwalk FantaSea and Star Fleet Yachts. Here are some photos that we thought were awesome!

Bakkhus Taverna

We went to lunch at Bakkhus Taverna in the Kemah Lighthouse District today. It is delicious! They have the best gyro in the area that's for sure. They have a great patio where you can look at all the charming shops and the Kemah Lighthouse. Check out their Facebook page!

Raileen Rum

Raileen Rum is locally distilled in San Leon, TX by Kelly Raileen. She worked in the wine industry for over 10 years until she pursued her dream of opening her own distillery. The mascot of Raileen Rum is the Monk Parakeet since San Leon has such a huge population of these wild parrots. 

You can tour the distillery and see how Kelly and her crew make White Rum, barrel aged blended Reserve XO Rum, single barrel Small Cask Rum, Spiced Rum, and the newly first Handcrafted American Agave Spirit made from 100% Blue Agave.
